Easy Policy Changes
What are some easy to implement policy changes that would make a huge difference in our society? I’ll get us started with a couple.
Change the organ donation checkboxes from opt-in to opt out. Countries that have opt-out organ donation programs tend to have 90% organ donation vs 15% for opt-in countries like the US.
Make sure money from traffic tickets goes to cities’ schools (or other city programs) instead of the police department to remove police departments perverse incentive to pull people over even when they’re not being dangerous. Also, police departments shouldn’t get to keep money from civil asset forfeitures.
